ABOUT

I paint the light I remember.

I'm Raisa, a painter working between the North Sea coast and a small city studio. My paintings are made slowly, in thin layers, and are almost always about light, weather, and the quiet in between.

Commissions matter deeply to me: making a work for a particular person and a particular room is the most honest thing I do.
